My Actifit Report Card: August 4 2021
Hello friends! It’s Wednesday, which means #wednesdaywalk! I had fallen out of the habit of posting WednesdayWalk posts sometime ago, while @tattoodjay was on a Hive hiatus. But he’s BACK and he’s still teaming up with @elizacheng on #makemesmile, AND my friend @dreensteem who also took a hiatus is back too and has launched a fun challenge called #dreemportchallenge.
It’s all so fun!
Okay I did get some steps and a nice walk today, but I did not get great pictures to share. So for this post I’m going to give you something to smile about — some sunset pics I took on my vacation in California last week.
We went way up north to our cabin on the “Lost Coast” and our arrival coincided perfectly with a stunning sunset!
Here’s the fam — posing in just enough light!
These are not edited photos. That was really the color of the sky. Mind blown.
A few minutes before the colors were more purple-hued.
And before that we drove past cows grazing on the hillside and looking so picturesque in the late golden hues of the day!
(Evidently I tilted the camera so the cow was level, but the ocean in the background wasn't!)
But back to the glorious reds and oranges. These were the last pictures I took that day because it then became too dark. But we felt as though we had been given a wonderful gift!

We climbed all over the hillside taking pictures. Then a few days later we returned to this same spot at low tide to go tide pooling. It’s such a beautiful stretch of coastline.

Oh my! Look at that orange glow from the sunset! Its sooo beautiful! Hehe, I wish I was there. I would not leave that place till it gets dark and I have soaked in all the beauty. Lol.
I like how the sky mixed the colours from the purple to the gold and orange.

Thanks @kemmyb. Yes I agree. Such a sunset is too captivating to be left behind. I took a ridiculous number of pictures before setting down my phone and just staring at the brilliant orange ocean.
The Lost Coast is called that, I believe, because no major roads go there. So it's in its own little lost world! You can read about it. Thanks for stopping by!

That sunset is really something else. Man, I miss being in university, where the buildings in that area aren't that dense and I get to see the sunset with a decent view...
Good to see you, @lilacse! I hope you have ways to get away from buildings and congested areas and enjoy nature. I personally believe it is important for us all for mental health snd well-being!

Yes...! Too bad the pandemic is still here, can't go places that I wanted to go... looks like it's going to take more time before I get to do that again! Gotta continue to stay at home until it's safer.
