My Actifit Report Card: September 8 2020

I went for a very long hike, today. It was about 8 miles long. Below you can see the details.

I was not prepared for this hike. It was very difficult for my fitness level and I didn’t drink enough water before going and I didn’t bring much water. For this reason I was dehydrated the whole time.


Here is a picture of the Hudson River from South Beacon Mountain. After hiking up to the summit of 2 mountains I had to hike down to that river.


I was very demoralized when reached this point because I had to hike down the side of a cliff and I worried that the whole route would be up and down cliffs and I had 5 and a half miles left to go at this point. Luckily, this was the only cliff I had to navigate.

There was a lot of up and down hills through the forest until I finally stumbled up the last hill and saw this sign.

I’ve been here before and knew that rest was downhill. Thankfully, I made it here at the right time because I wouldn’t have been able to hike up another hill. I barely made it to end of hike and the rest was downhill!

I definitely won’t be going on another hike this long until I get in better shape.

Don’t go up here like I did and waste energy to see a radio tower and power lines.
