I like the falling leaves, too, until I have to clean out my gutters. Then again, I have a blower attachment to help me do that, so not that big a chore. I don't worry about raking them, and I just run my mower over them, so leaves don't bother me at all :-)

My husband does the same thing! I'm always worried the leaves will choke out the grass. But evidently they break down nicely if you mow them.
