Actifit Report 040521: Back to the Zoo

Good day all. I had a great day yesterday with the family. It started off with a quick dip in the pool after breakfast.

No that's not me.

We headed to the zoo mid morning and stayed for about 3 hours. This tiger was pacing back and forth and decided he'd rather sit in the water and get pestered by flies than to continue to pace in the increasing heat.

The New Rhino Preserve is Massive


There are two of them. They both have huge areas to eat, rest and explore.

Usually, We Can Feed the Giraffes


However, today they were on a "feeding break". Which I guess means that they stop allowing people to feed them lettuce leaves and actually give them real food. You can see that one of them didn't appreciate me capturing them mid meal.

We Rounded Out the Walk by Checking in on the Elephants


They were eating and staying in the shade. Doing their best to stay cool.

I always know when we head to the zoo that it's likely i'l get my steps in. This trip was no different.
