The last training before quarantine

Fresh, sunny and normal...

That was how it looked on the last morning of training before quarantine, when I decided to go running in a small @nature reserve in my hometown.

It is incredible to see the coatis walking while you follow your training route, it is also usual to see turtles in special spaces with food and water. Park staff take care every day so that these animals have enough food throughout the day.

Something that catches the eye

This is a park dedicated to sports, meditation and entertainment, which is why many people come to this beautiful place every day. Animals, especially coatis, have been able to adapt to this invasive phenomenon. Before, it was enough to get closer to about 5 meters away so that they were scared and left quickly, now, I have seen how they run next to you and to the rhythm of your steps!

When provoked, or for defense, coatis can be fierce fighters; their strong jaws, sharp canine teeth, and fast scratching paws (Wainwright,2002)

A curious one

But I must admit that the people who visit the park have been extremely respectful of the flora and fauna of this place.

We could conclude that the human footprint does not always have to be negative, in this case certainly much flora has been lost, but the respect and education of the people have preserved nature as best as possible.
