Malá procházka přírodní památkou Požáry.

Tohle fotografii bych ráda přihlásila do soutěže #aroundtheworld:

V lomech Požáry 1 a Požáry 2 se ve 20. století těžil vápenec. Lomy byly propojeny štolou, která se dochovala dodnes.

Těžbou se odkryl unikátní skalní profil zachycující vývoj oblasti v prvohorách. Lokalita je známá nálezy zkamenělé fauny a flóry a dnes má velký význam pro botaniku i zoologii.

V okolí se nachází více lomů. Například lomů Vokounka a pozůstatky po budovách staré vápenky.

Dříve jste se v lomu mohli i vykoupat. Bohuzel vsak z důvodu bezpečnosti je to dnes již zakázáno a jsou zde kamery.

S kladívkem se tam asi taky nesmí.
Zajímavé místo. Jen mě trochu bolí za krkem, jak jsem si prohlížel ty otočené fotky :-)
