My Actifit Report Card: September 19 2022 - Free Crypto!
You heard that Ethereum switched from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake last Friday, right? Well did you know that there is still an Ethereum Proof of Work chain with its own token called ETHW? Last week if you had 1 ETH then this week you have 1 ETH and 1 ETHW which you got for free.
You also have all the ERC-20 tokens you had last week AND now you have ETHW versions in the same amount! People in the #hex community have been talking about this and are happy to see that their free HEX on ETHW are one of the 5 most popular coins there. It already did a 100x although I think it is down a bit now.
The Matti Allin video talks about how to find your ETHW tokens on metamask.

You have a new free copy of everything on ETHW that you had on ETH.

It is around $6 which is much less than ETH.
No one knows what will happen to ETHW in the future. It is risky to buy more. But it is nice that we got some for free. :)
Maybe best to not make any moves until you get a chance to look into this more.

I don't know why I have been shy to explore the ethereum block chain.
One good reason is that the fees to do anything on Ethereum are very high! They may come down a little after this "merge" but they are probably still too high unless you'll be transacting hundreds of dollars or more.

Also, the transactions take minutes rather than seconds here on Hive.
PulseChain is the next upcoming project that is a full state fork of Etherium where everything everyone has on Ethereum will be copied to PulseChain. I'll be writing about it when it's time to launch. The testnet has been working fine for many months so it may be coming soon. Fees are very low and transaction times are just a few seconds like here.
Pulse chain seems tempting.
