My Actifit Report Card: June 15 2025 - Emily Linge New Song
YouTube showed me a new cover song by Emily Linge a few days ago. She is playing piano and singing It Must Have Been Love which was originally a hit for Roxette in 1990. The original music video by Roxette has almost 900 Million views so this is a well known song!
In Emily's version, the tempo is similar but the mood is more somber. We don't have the electric drum beats or synths as in the Roxette original. But Emily sounds quite authentic in her vocal performance, using the same octaves and accents, as far as I can tell. In some of the higher notes in the second half of the song, I'm hearing a Kate Bush kind of tonality.

My Activity
for this Sunday was rather uninspired again. No walk at night and no weight lifting, but I did do some exercise snacks which are 2 to 3 minutes of heartbeat rising activity. I did high knees and squats a few times each.
I also went food shopping which took me in and out of the parking lot and up and down most isles of the store.
And I spent time with my Dad on this Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to all Dads and potential Dads and even Uncles!
Looking at my number I see that somehow I did get more than half way over 5K so it wasn't a complete fail. Maybe as the week starts up again tomorrow I'll find time to get a really good workout in!
