Send in the Clowns (Fri 21 May 2021)

It was supposed to be a work-on-the-well day but that didn't happen. Got the prep work done and then other missions took us all in different directions. And the weather wasn't cooperating either.

Turned into a semi-lazy day except for an hour spent searching for building materials for one of my daughters to take home for building her own chicken coop. The hard part was hauling the materials up front.

It was too muddy to bring her truck back to my place. So we did some mud-walking while pulling a load of lumber. (To be honest, she did most of the heavy pulling. I acted as guide and just helped whenever we got stuck.)

Then at some point a couple of my granddaughters talked me into letting them put makeup on me. The 6 year old very carefully applied the lipstick – then reapplied after I gave my grandson a lip tattoo on his hand.

The 8 year old thought black eyeshadow would be perfect for grandma. Not satisfied, she then added a pink heart and black smiley face to my cheeks.

Photo: It started with just some bright pink lipstick. Then this happened. How do you like my clown face?

My energy level took a dip in the afternoon so a few microworkouts and the walking early in the day were pretty much the sum total of my activity. But being treated to a beauty makeover was a bright spot in my day.
