A Really Wet July (Tue 13 Jul 2021)

Looks like rain. Again. Parts of the country are under severe drought conditions but we're having the rainiest summer of the past 9 summers I've lived in this area. It may be cliche to say so, but I swear that each time the ground got dry enough to mow or to water the garden, later that day the blue skies turned to gray storm clouds.

After a couple of nights back at my own house I'm at my daughter's house for the next few nights. I'll be taking care of my granddaughter, the cleaning, and the animals. In addition to some short walks (through knee high grass and mud!), I got in some ab exercises at home this morning.

My daughter skipped her jijitsu class this evening so we were planning to do a leg workout together. However, we got distracted by laundry and a discussion about Donald Duck and Daffy Duck (brought about by a Happy Meal toy I found in her kitchen). I ended up doing a brief workout after she went to bed.

Tomorrow, rain or shine, I'll be doing a much longer full workout. I finally figured out how to properly use the rowing machine. Maybe I'll tackle the vertical climber next.
