Gsuite to Workspace upgrade - NO! Don't do it! - My Actifit Report Card: October 21 2020
Upgraded my Gsuite account to the new soon to be required Workspace upgrade? As part of the new endpoint security "features" it required me to factory reset phone. Well I've done this a few times before, and always just then hit the "restore" button to restore all my apps and settings. Well now, the new "upgrades" no longer support backup and restore capability! Arrgh! I then had to wait 2 days of phone being down and begging for support to avoid the manual rebuild. Well after the two days it took for them to finally call me back and explain their new "features". The "backup" option is not even available any longer, it's grayed out! Had to manually reinstall and reconfigure everything, Arrgh!
Beware of the upgrade! I'd recommend putting it off as long as you can!
