I lived in Las Vegas for a couple years 99 - 2001. I remember there were bad wild fires in California then right before I left. Las Vegas is a giant valley and when I was living there, we had an issue with the smoke coming over the mountains and getting trapped in the valley. It was terrible for people with breathing issues like asthma.

The irony of this was that we got the most incredibly beautiful sunsets and sunrises for several weeks. In the morning I'd lay across the hood of my car before going into work watching the sunrise, and at night the sunsets were just incredible. So many different colors. It almost looked like a surrealist painting or something out of a science fiction movie.

Anyway, stay healthy. Hope the air improves for you! Cheers.

Oh wow I can imagine how beautiful they were. We really do get some amazing sunrises & sunsets here...I am not directly in Vegas but not too far off. I have a feeling you might have experienced some better ones but you are right...it does seem like we have more breathtaking views around fire season...

Fortunately, for now, the air quality has been a bit better. I stay indoors when it isn't since I do have asthma. That kind of stuff always triggers it. Really, the hardest part for me is having to stay indoors when I want to go out in nature, even if it's just to sit on my patio lol...

I hope where you ended up moving is wonderful for you. I am an upstate New York transplant so I know how big moves can be 😊

Have an amazing day & thanks so much for stopping by! Stay blessed & sending #pixiedust your way. 🧚‍♂️🍃❤️

OMG... I'm originally from Western NY. Buffalo NY area. I've moved around a bit though. Vegas was always my favorite. Sooner or later I want to get back out west. I'm thinking New Mexico or Colorado next time around.

Have a great day! Cheers.
