I played a doubles disc golf tournament today on the local course. The team I was on almost got second place but we melted down on one of the holes and took a double bogey.
The wind was really not favorable on the hole and off the tee I ended up flipping my disc all the way over when trying to throw a roller. Both my partner and I were making a sequence of bad throws after that and had a hard time recovering the rest of the round.
It is interesting how the momentum can change like that sometimes.
I think I ended up forgetting my Beast disc at some point after this. Lucky for me a friend found it and contacted me so I got it back tonight. I ended up playing a few more rounds just for fun when I got the disc back.
For the second tournament that I have played in I think it went rather well. It was a lot of fun to be out there playing.
As part of tonight's dinner, a tomato, cucumber and basil salad:
Some friends gave us this wonderful salmon:
I cooked it up on the grill and it tasted great. This was a nice meal with some fresh corn on the cob too.
I think the salmon was locally caught around here. I'm glad that they have taken down some dams recently and it should open up many miles of streams for salmon habitate.
