It was nice and sunny today so my son and I ended up playing about 17 holes of disc golf at our favorite course. One of our friends was playing there when we got there so we played together.
None of us scored all that well today but it was fun to be out at the course.
My friend almost lost his disc in the river on hole eight and when my son went down the riverbank to get the disc he found another one there too. It was a yellow Star Valkyrie and my son let me have it because he doen't care for them all that much. I called the number on the disc to check if the owner wanted it back but they didn't really want it because they had given it away to someone else.
I ended up with a nice 158 gram Star Valkyrie that is very much like the yellow Star Lite Valkyrie I had lost in the river awhile back. At the time I was thinking about replacing that disc but never got around to it. Now I have a replacement, (I actually have three Valkyrie's now). It is funny how discs seem to recycle back and forth within the disc golf community.
All three of my Valkyrie discs are more stable than the one I lost. I still probably would not throw any them on hole eight though. I ended up putting the Star Lite Valkyrie in the river on that hole once but did manage to get it back that time.
Here's another recent picture of the doggie:
