My Actifit Report Card: November 13 2020

Well we did try to do some disc golfing today. It was really windy, cold and raining in the morning. I thought we could head to our favorite disc golf course but the road was closed still. There was a parking lot just past the road closed sign, so we parked there and walked in towards the far end of the course.

I thought we could play a few holes on the way to hole eighteen. My son had left a disc there a couple of days ago and I thought we could stop and look for it. We played hole sixteen and both took a double bogie or higher on it because of the wind.

On the next hole I threw my Harp putter into the the left to right wind. The holes here are pretty far away from the river and have a lot of trees blocking the throw. There are three approaches to the hole left, middle and right gap. Usually I throw a forehand up the left gap but I figured that it was way too windy for that today so I threw a backhand wide on the right gap with a lot of hyzer angle. The wind really got under the putter and it went pin high but drifted on the wind wide to the left. I was thinking to myself that it might have been better to throw a fairway driver because of the wind.

Next, my son threw his putter backhand but it went through the left gap with a hyzer angle. Maybe it might have had a chance with a strong anhyzer angle but the wind got under it and took it right out between all the trees and over to the river.

We looked for some time but both of us kind of thought it was in the river because of how the wind was under it. We looked for the other disc my son has lost a few days ago too but we could not find either disc. I felt bad but there really is not much you can do but hope that maybe it will come back to you later.

It is amazing how sometimes discs will find there way back to you at some future point. I've found discs months after people have lost them and returned them so I know it can happen.

I've heard an apple a day keeps the doctor away. I'm not sure if it is true but it makes a good base for my cereal. I like adding some crunchy flakes and other goodies too like nuts, wheat germ, and seeds into my breakfast cereal. Pretty yummy.
