My Actifit Report Card: November 16 2020

avatar

Kind of a short day steps wise for me. My son and I played around twelve holes of disc golf but it was raining pretty hard. My son had a full bag of maybe thirty discs, rags, umbrella, rain fly, hand dry bag, while I had three discs.

I ended up winning with a rather significant lead. The new Sword disc was just perfect in the weather and I did not have to throw it as hard because of the light weight. I was having some issues with the grip on the midrange though and will probably shelve my MP4 again because of it. I really like the disc but the plastic is very hard to grip. Anything is hard to grip when it is very wet though.

The Governor said something about, "ABSOLUTELY no Thankgiving," or something to that effect. Naturally this caused a major panic and the toilet paper was cleaned out again. I have to laugh about it really. If this was a real Zombie Apocalypse I hardly figure that toilet paper would be all that important. You can after all, use a variety of things and even resort to gasp, washing yourself with water, (bidet?) LOL :D

Doggie loves playing, "bite the human," he has not drawn any blood, (on me at least, lol.)

Most of his puppy teeth are gone now, so that is helpful.

He did, however, find my Raspberry Pi SD card and tried to eat it. It was pretty tough to get it out of his mouth and it took somewhat of a chewing.

I wanted to do some real actual sort of work and check out some programming online workshops. I went to start up the Pi and it would not boot. (Who would have thunk that puppy chewing would cause a data loss?) I went to start up Discord and it would not load any of the text. GMail sent some of my invitation messages into LA LA Land where I could not find them until later. Go figure. Meh. :(

LOL. Oh well.

Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.

Mummies and zombies R relatively the same thing .., right. People are just thinking about their post-apocalyptic fashion.

LOL, I guess so. For post-apocalyptic fashion I would take a Kevlar air-conditioned suit with solar power source and million cycle batteries. Add some computer AI that detects people and masks your position by displaying whatever is beyond you on a vector towards anyone in visual range on a flexible LCD surface. Add some exoskeleton muscles for faster action, lifting heavy objects and moving long distances and you've got it made. Perhaps add some genetically modified plant material that sucks the CO2 out of the air and makes some jellied K-rations just in case there is nothing else around to eat. (LS doesn't worry about water based on the fact that it rains all the freaking time around here, lol.)

LOL ... I'll see your Oregon wet and raise you some Vancouver liquid sunshine.

It does sound as though you have done some thinking about your fashion. I like:)

Yup, I was a bit perturbed about the cancellation of Thanksgiving plans but it is what is I suppose.

Human biting ! That's a no-no !

I've been baffled by the toilet paper thing all along. I never intended to hoard any, but once other's did and made it generally unavailable, there was no choice. I did learn to play the game of watching it on Amazon and buying by the case when it was available and have had some sent to my Mom as well. Of course it was been much more available for a while now. At one time I think I had enough just for me for 6 months ! ha ha.... but I didn't buy local, so I wasn't part of running our stores out here. I got down to two cases, so about 3 weeks ago I ordered another case and another is on the way now. I thought this might happen again, so I am getting it before the next major rush is on. There is plenty to worry about other than that, so I am not letting it become a concern.

Working on Doggie's personally issues has been difficult. He's a fun one and definitely more of a handful than any other dog I've had made the acquaintance of.

I've heard that the issue with TP is that the lack of use of the giant roles that are typically in the public restrooms has created more demand for the smaller roles for home consumption. I don't know... Maybe people just like to see empty shelves and have something to talk about and post on their Actifit blogs. LOL.

ha ha... well...

When it began here last time, some man got in trouble when they caught him re-selling for a higher price on ebay? (don't remember the exact details now), but he had gone around to all the Dollar General and other stores and bought everything up to sell for a profit. When confronted, he tried to pretend he was trying to help "others" who were having a hard time finding it, but that was so bogus.

Buy low sell high, in a way that's the typical business model right? I've always had a bit of an issue with it even though it does serve a real valuable purpose. My friends and I would always joke around about buying something for a dollar and then selling it to our friends for two dollars. If anyone complained we would say, "Oh, you hard bargainer, for you, four dollars."

Then you keep raising the price or make them walk to the store themselves, lol. (Or eventually cave in and just give it to them.)

I guess it all works well if there is enough competition to keep people from charging anything they want. With so many smaller business going under it is cause for concern.

Oh wow, the over shopping of toilet paper looks like the first wave in March/April; good thing this time a vaccine is on the horizon. Doggie is looking really naughty and playful in that photo, flashing off his little teeth :}

I had taken almost the same photo back in the first wave. I guess things are not changing all that much in a way, lol. Doggie does have a lot of personality that's for sure.
