I played about twenty two holes of disc golf today out at my favorite course. I thought about riding the e-bike out the the Pro course but it is farther away and it was a bit cold and looked like rain.
It did not rain at all while I was playing but the wind picked up just enough to make it difficult t putt. After the first four holes a friend of mine showed up and I restarted the round and played with him.
The second time around I did not do a well on the holes and the wind was picking up. It kind of set the tempo for the round and I did not end up playing really well. My friend was having a bit of an issue too. Nobody lost any discs in the river so that was good at least.
I felt like I was throwing pretty well but my putting was not on today. I've played better on days with stronger gusty winds but it was cold and steady today and a bit hard to figure out how the disc would react. On a lot of throws I thought I was going to get more wind effect than I did. I was throwing more stable discs just to be careful on a few throws but they ended up finishing too far left on a right had backhand throw.
It is better to be careful and get a higher score than to end up putting a disc in the river or having it get run over by a car.
Today's still life photography.
I call this one: "Tropical fruit admires itself in the mirror and wonders how the heck it got here in the dreary Pacific Northwest"
Tropical fruit on the counter with the potatoes
I really like the orange color and have been waiting patiently for this fruit to ripen up. It is just getting soft so any day now I'll be eating it.
