It was raining a bit this morning but cleared up enough for my son and I to head out and play a round of disc golf. We did a little over eighteen holes. I had some trouble getting started in the colder weather and generally was not throwing all that well today. I ended up with a four over par score on the eighteen holes.
The new DX Valkyrie disc that I found yesterday does not fly very well. It is very understable. So much so that it makes a pretty good roller disc but doesn't seem to be good for much else. I've never thrown a Valkyrie disc that was so flippy. I might bag it occasionally if I think I might need to throw a roller. I usually use a Witness disc for this though. The light weight at 148 grams and the plastic type and wear make it very flippy.
We almost lost a disc in the river today but we ended up finding it after looking for a bit. I think my son would have been rather upset had we not found it. He threw a Halo Star Wraith and they are rather expensive at around $30 by the time you pay for shipping, etc. I like the Halo Star plastic but I'm kind of cheap and would not pay that much, lol. Maybe I'll find one sometime. I did find a Halo Star Shryke that was really nice and stable but gave it back to the person who lost it. They were happy to get it back so that was nice.
Walking Doggie.
Furry Doggie with his brand new red harness on:
The new harness is much easier to put on him. The blue harness was getting way too small.
He just loves playing in the water even on a cold and cloudy day.
