My Actifit Report Card: January 6 2021

It was not raining today and the sun actually came out this afternoon for a bit. My son and I went down to the local nine basket course and played the dubs eighteen layout. I won by one point. I thought my son was doing pretty well but he was not really happy with the way he played.

I had a bit of a meltdown towards the last two holes but generally played pretty well considering the conditions. It is hard to throw well when the ground is so moist that your shoes constantly sink in and get muddy looking.

I've been trying to learn how my new Crave discs fly and that limits my round a bit. I sometimes throw them when it would be better if I threw a disc I was more used to.

Here's a video that I saw recently that is in a way helpful to the mental game in disc golf. If you can rise over all the obstacles that distract you from your focus it is very helpful. I like how the artist uses animation to bring home the point of the speaker.

I was talking today to my neighbor about the vehicle and explaining how efficient it was and how it had solar panels on it. They responded, "Oh I would not like to get one of those."

I was puzzled because of how they were just talking about thinking of getting an electric vehicle someday. I thought to myself that perhaps they were not understanding me in some way and I thought it was kind of funny.

Some really strange political news happened today. I'll leave at that. Groan...

The world banking system and other social systems are very ripe for a change. I do think that what we are involved in with crypto will be helpful to stabilize the increasing power struggles and environmental issues we are facing.

The apple tree looks like it will produce a nice crop this year:

I think it is starting to look a bit like spring.

I almost made it through the rainy(er) season without getting water in the garage but I went out there today and had to sweep some water out. It is much better than last year though. Maybe I will apply some more concrete sealer to the cracks in the garage floor this summer.
