My Actifit Journal: Sep 7 2023
Heya Hiva,
Ready or not.. here I come!
With Cape Town spring once again in the air, the gentle warmth of the suns rays has encouraged me to roam about - without much reason. So I used the opportunity to create one.. feeding the little birdies via their 'scratch patch'. By scattering seeds among the pebbles, the local birds may in turn have some fun foraging for their food.
Truth be told, I haven't been treating our 'feathered friends' as much as usual, after encountering a really large boomslang in the nearby Bouganvillea. The thought was that so much indigenous bird life, may have unknowingly attracted the venomous snake to himself roam about.
The remnants of now vacated nests, certainly demonstrate how the birds put a lot of effort into making a safe home for themselves. Only time will tell whether we see their predator once again. Though the snake is remarkable in its own light, I do feel somewhat more comfortable in the company of their prey. And just like them, the day flew by.. steps met ;)
