OzarkLife Wanderings ~ May 21, 2023
It was a beautiful day here in the Ozarks, warm but not too hot, and the sun was shining. @nomaddreamer and I hit our trail and found the peace of the woods welcoming us.
The humidity and warmth have brought up mushrooms of all types all throughout the woods. This Russulaceae looks to have been nibbled a bit. We’ve noticed the turtles tend to eat off bits and come back for more later.
This lil salamander was catching some sun. Kinda cute, in that salamander kind of way!
This male (the orange-red eyes give it away) three toed box turtle was enjoying the sun too.
It was a good day in the #ozarklife woods. Wildlife and wildflowers made for a perfect hike!
