Tilling the ground for maize and other grains.

Hello friends welcome to my blog page, today I’m bringing some updates on how it’s going on my garden, apart from my farm, I’ve also utilized some free spaces at my compound to plant some vegetables 🌽 and other seedlings 🌱.

This is right inside my compound, I tilled some spaces for grains and vegetables, also dig down some centimeters for the maize.

I bought one of the best types of hybrid maize from my vendor, it cost just few dollars, I guess maybe 2kg will be enough for me at this planting season.

I also purchased compost manure from a poultry farm at our neighborhood which will help the crops. Meanwhile let’s take a look on my previous work few days back. It takes approximately 4 days for maize to germinate from the ground assuming there’s good atmosphere for it; if there’s rain fall or manual watering.

In our case here, we’re not yet into commercial agriculture, therefore we’re just taking it one step at a time, and for me it’s just a hobby at this lockdown 😁

That’s my backyard, I lined them in two straight lines making space at the middle as a walkway.

This is early raining season, and it necessitated watering of these crops. Now that we’re still observing sit at home order, I count it the best moment to do this considering time factors.

I water the crops morning and evening, it’s rather a continuous assessment pending when rain will start falling frequently.
