Making ridges for maize cultivation.
Hi friends, welcome to my blog, I’m happy to bring you update on how it’s going at my maize farm, I visited workers today to see the progress of the ridge making and give them some money.
We proposed to cultivate with a tractors 🚜 but the vendor disappointed us, now that we’ve decided to use manpower, it’s taking some times to cultivate, but we’re left with no choice.
I went there with my little friend Onyedika to pick cassava from the ridges today, and we’re able to gather few bags.

How much will it cost to make corn ridges in a hectare of land?
Well, we’re paying around $200 for the hectare, that’s around N80,000 Naira of our local currency.
We also spread weed control chemicals to help control the annual weeds.
That’s me taking some selfies with my camera. The way I’m seeing the work going, making ridges will last till the coming week, but we’re not waiting for that anyway, we’re going to start planting maize maybe by Saturday.
