Crafternoon: An Afternoon Arts Workshop with Kids
Saturdays and Sundays are family days. This Saturday, we decided to send our little girl to an arts workshop.
There's something magical about blending colors, watching pigments dance on paper, and creating a masterpiece from a blank canvas. Imagine the laughter and boundless creativity of children as they spend the afternoon in this worthwhile activity.
The Crafternoon workshop is designed to be a nurturing environment where kids can explore their artistic abilities without pressure.
The resident artist started a short introduction to watercolors, demonstrating basic techniques like wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and color blending. Kids got to see examples of finished paintings that sparked their imagination.
Each child received their own set of watercolor supplies and a sheet of high-quality watercolor paper. They're encouraged to experiment with the techniques they've just learned. There's no right or wrong way—it's all about exploring and enjoying the process.
Towards the end of the workshop, the children gathered and shared their creations. This boosted their confidence and taught them to appreciate and critique art in a positive, supportive environment.
Crafternoon is more than just an art class. It's a celebration of creativity, a space for exploration, and a joyful gathering where children can express themselves freely
