Unplanned Hiking
These days are just beautiful. When you end up having a great hiking time even you didn't plan that. So today afternoon we went to the mountains to get the water from the spring, where we usually go. However, already several people waited there, with a lot of bottles to fill, so we realized we should wait there for at least one or two hours.
So we changed the plan and went to another place, to the lake, which is not so far away from there. Initially, it was just we will just chill around a bit... and we ended making more than two hours of the hiking route. I feel like I'm going to have muscle soreness, that's inevitable.
If we had planned that walk, it wouldn't have been so good. We would probably bring more drinking water (hm, yes, that would actually be desirable), I wouldn't wear a sweatshirt (which would also be nice if I just left it at home because it was warm).
And maybe I'd bring a camera because I've seen those little things that have a cap ... and they grow hidden under leaves or around trees. However, it was just a perfect afternoon, listening to the chirping of birds and having a lot of laughter and fun with my boys.

Beautiful mountain lake! That's one of the things I miss in Michigan. We have plenty of lakes of course, some are even called the Great Lakes! But nothing compares to the mountain lakes back home.

Hey @manuvert, you are right, the mountain lakes are special and this one is also so nice to spend a day. Sometimes my husband fishes there, but as it was unplanned, we haven't got the fishing rods with us.
