Consider a superficial life that is not disturbed by any shadow events or any irregularities or bumps. Then you have a philosopher on the other side who is knowlegeable in all those bumps, very experienced and of course critical. First, those philosophers need to manage their life somehow no matter how hard it might be when being experienced in all that negativity. Second, reality is not as smooth as many of us wish it to be. Wouldn't the philosophers' knowledge and expierience enrich our lifes in a way that we can live more of a truthful less of a wishful life?
