This morning I went northside for my run - 14.93 kms. The little loop around Kirribilli included a quick photo stop at Lady Gowrie lookout. I hadn’t seen this before so it was a nice surprise!

This morning’s run
This afternoon we headed out for a walk around the neighbourhood (actually it was in our neighbouring council’s zone) on the eve of council cleanup. These can be great opportunities to uncover some gems. We were hoping that someone’s trash would be our treasure. We didn’t pick up much at all to begin with but had a late rush of finds towards the end, including a rather large light fitting which we were able to repurpose for an upcycled fire pit. We had been talking about this for a little while. When we got home we put a large tin can under it for a base and put another find inside it for us to set the paper and kindling on. We got it going after a few attempts. This was really just a proof of concept but it was fun sitting next to the very small fire!
Have you ever seen so much crap?
