Monday ☀️ 8708

Cold light slid across a dry winter morning below five degrees, and it never felt as sharp because the wind stayed away. I walked the Luiseninsel route through the palace gardens, where frosted paths felt like quiet promises under my boots. I passed the decorated bust of the queen again and the hollow tree stuffed with color, small rituals that felt like friendly nods from old neighbors. On the island, I slowed my breath by the water, meditation moving like an anchor dropped into a restless river. Later I bought a few groceries for the week. Crossing the Röntgen Bridge, named for the man who saw through bones, I shot a photo of the power plant being further dismantled, brick by brick. Between the two towering silos, I spotted an unlikely view of our district hall tower and carried both home for you.

Kaltes Licht glitt über einen trockenen Wintermorgen unter fünf Grad, und er fühlte sich nie besonders scharf an, weil kaum Wind wehte. Ich ging die Luiseninselrunde durch den Schlosspark, wo gefrorene Wege sich wie leise Versprechen unter meinen Schuhen anfühlten. Wieder kam ich an der geschmückten Büste der Königin vorbei und an dem hohlen Baum voller Farben, kleine Rituale wie freundliche Grüße alter Bekannter. Am Wasser der Insel verlangsamte ich meinen Atem, Meditation wie ein Anker in einem unruhigen Fluss. Später kaufte ich noch ein paar Lebensmittel für die Woche. Auf dem Rückweg über die Röntgenbrücke machte ich ein Bild vom weiteren Rückbau des Heizkraftwerks. Zwischen den beiden hohen Silos entdeckte ich eine unerwartete Ansicht unseres Bezirksrathausturms und brachte beides natürlich für euch mit.
