Another cold morning, around 0 degrees. Frosty and crisp, but actually still within the normal range for this time of year. Today I took my usual walk around Luiseninsel through the palace park again and watched various feathered friends fly past me and the ducks chasing each other. A cormorant sleeping on a branch, a few excited blue tits flitting about, and there, a gray heron gliding elegantly past me, croaking. I met one of its buddies later on the island and brought a photo of him back for you. I also brought the sunrise from my favorite bridge and, last but not least, after a few breathing exercises on the island’s shore by the old alder tree, I visited and shot the beautifully decorated bust of Queen Louise of Prussia once again.

Noch ein kalter Morgen um die 0 Grad. Frostig und frisch, aber tatsächlich auch immer noch im Rahmen für die Jahreszeit. Heute bin ich wieder die Luiseninselrunde durch den Schlosspark gegangen und habe diverse gefiederte Freunde an mir vorbeifliegen und die Enten sich jagen gesehen. Ein Kormoran auf einem Ast schlafend, einige aufgeregte Blaumeisen herumtollend und da, ein Graureiher gleitet über mir elegant und krächzend vorbei. Einen seiner Kumpels habe ich später noch an der Insel getroffen und für euch mitgebracht. Ebenso den Sonnenaufgang von meiner Lieblingsbrücke aus gesehen und nicht zuletzt nach ein paar Atemübungen am Ufer der Insel bei der alten Erle auch noch die wieder sehr hübsch geschmückte Büste der Königin Luise von Preußen.
