My Actifit Report Card: February 27 2020

A friend and a student wrote me an email. He wants some advice on what he could play next. He wrote a list of pieces, like preludes from BWV 547 and 546, The Little Fugue in G Minor, BWV 578 and Fanfare by Lemmens. I recommended BWV 578 and Lemmens Fanfare.

He also wrote that reorganization at work creates a lot of stress for him to which I replied:

"Have you tried diversifying your income as I've been teaching for the last 5 years or more? This way, any situation at work will not be as stressful as it is now because you won't be dependent on one income stream."

He's been in this situation before where his former company had to save money to stay in business and changnig market conditions forced him and his family to move to another town, find another job and basicaly start a new life from scratch. This was several years ago. I recommended right away he could start doing something online, like writing a blog and selling Amazon affiliate products, cross-posting them to Steem etc. If he would have been doing this all this time, he would have probably created a financial cushion for himself and his family already.

Why do people don't take action to prepare for the future even if it seem logical to do so?
