I’m at a rented cabin on Little Birch Lake in central Minnesota for a few days of relaxing with family.
There’s very spotty internet connections here. Sometimes can’t connect at all, sometimes just for a few minutes before it drops. Almost nothing in the cabin itself, but if I walk out to the end of the dock, it’s halfway decent. But I’ve got better things to do than walking out to the end of the dock to surf the web.
So not much Hive activity for the next few days. A bit of curating and the occasional short post that probably doesn’t need editing. Not sure if I’ll even have a good enough connection to upload pics.
My wife and I took a longish walk this morning past other lake cabins on the narrow private drive and then on county roads — corn and soybean fields. We found an old church graveyard and wandered among the headstones and markers. I’d thought photographs embedded on headstones were a recent development, but we found one of them for a guy who’d died in 1919.
