Gold Mine Trail.....Searching for the Gold!!!😊

My @actifit adventure today was also a return to somewhat normalcy!
Our good friend and neighbor Jan joined us in our search today!
The trails can be very narrow, and we are social distancing, so we all carried our mask for when we would meet people.
Today we passed three different groups of hikers, and it’s a work week Tuesday.
The plan was to do the full loop, my FitBit showed 7.61 miles, and we hit 100 uphill floors!
Well I did..........😅
Halfway up the mountain, at a crossroad called Coco Crossroads, you can take a different trail to the Gold mines!
Just as we approached the crossing, down hill by Haden creek, I spotted one of the three Gold mines!
It was a difficult decent down, so the Mrs and Jan stayed back up on the main trail.
Much of the entrance has filled in, over the last 120 years, but it was exciting to have found the first of three Gold Mines!!!🤗
As we searched for the next mine, I told the Ladies to let me go ahead up an extremely steep an narrow trail.
How does Silvertop get into these situations.... 😇
This trail was loose gravel on a one shoe wide HIGH cliff!!!
Going forward wasn’t too bad, turning around and hanging onto small trees to pull myself along the trail........

I was so glad to get back down, and very glad I told them to let me check this trail out!🥵
We continued onward an finished the main hiking loop.
One Gold mine found today, a very exciting day, and also so nice that we can get back to hiking with our friend Jan!

Yes we found the entrance to one of the Gold mines, it is full of water so I didn't go into it...

The one foot wide hiking trail does NOT sound like a good time. Watch out for those mines. The last thing you want to do is get stuck in one!

Oh goodness!! A trail of loose gravel of one shoe wide HIGH cliff 🥵.... yeah... how did you get yourself there😳???? I just heard in the news yesterday that there was a hiker that fell off the trail, and luckily was found by a father & daughter hiking after they heard his call for help.
It looks like your chosen hiking trail this day was not an easy one... boulders, uphills... But I bet you all enjoyed your hike! Thanks for sharing your day, my friend, @silvertopm, and take care 🥰🌺🤙
