FLOOD AREA!!!!😳
Day three of rain, maybe I need to start building an Ark! lol😅😇
I went to check out the Nooksack river, to see how high the water was....
The river is up, but not anywhere near flood stage. You can see the gravel and sand on the bank of the river. Too bad you can’t hear the rapids from my @actifit post, the water is moving fast.
I couldn’t get any closer than these two photos, the river bank
Disappears upstream,
and gets too dangerous to get near!😲
I don’t think you would last long in these frigid waters!
Silvertop’s curiosity satisfied, it was time to go pick up some more free firewood in town!

Jim my next door neighbor just had one of these fully loaded lumber trucks drive up his driveway and dump all the logs for him. Then he chainsaw’s this into firewood, that’s the way to cut firewood Jim!!🤗
Home at last, I had a small window of no rain to get a solo hike in and then........😳
A mixture of ice, rain, and darkness.......
Then I hear “I suppose you already got your hike in today!”
“Hike with me tomorrow honey?🥰😇”

That's a lot of rain! I hear it has been very dry in the northwest, so maybe it's a good thing but... too much of a good thing!
As I type it is dumping...Lol
We canceled the evening/night hike, and it was a good thing😅 We are getting hail/thunder/ Lightning🙄

I draw the line hiking in thunder and lightening! I don't much like to hike in torrential downpours either, and if we had gone, well now where did I put the scuba diving equipment, honey? Hmmm.......warm fire, @silvertop and coffee! What more could a girl ask for! 😘
