Serious hiking, deserves some serious, hiking boots my friends!💪☺️
My very old “Waterproof” Merrell’s, were quickly becoming non waterproof Lol!😅

“Silvertop with another 1.2 inches of rain potentially coming down today, why don’t we check out “Sportsman’s Warehouse” they usually have a good selection of hiking shoes and boots!”🥰
Silvertop decided to walk right by the “Coonskin caps” in the second photo……. that’s a hard pass Lol…… and head to the shoe department!🤣😇
I walked up to the Merrill shoe display first…………
Merrill makes one of the best hiking shoes/ boots! In fact I walked into Sportsman’s Warehouse today wearing a brand new pair that I pulled out of storage back home today!😊
I stopped in my tracks!……..🙄
$140.00 for the low tops, and $150.00 for the exact Mid rise boot I had on my feet!😬
“I think Merrill makes an awesome boot Liz, but these prices are ridiculous!”😮
That’s when I spotted the Sportsman Warehouse in store brand of boots…….
$48 to $55 low to mid rise respectively……………
I’m always on the lookout for new brands/ bargains of all products, so I tried on a pair……..
They actually felt “Much” better than my new Merrill’s I was wearing, that only had a few hours of wear time on them!👍
Sitting on a stool in the shoe department, I pulled up ChatGPT ……….
“ Can you tell me who makes the in-house brand of sportsman’s warehouse hiking boots?!”
“Silvertop, these are from a Chinese manufacturer, specifically for Sportsmans warehouse. They have softer rubber soles. They may not last as long as your Merrill’s, but they will have better grip on wet or snowy trails!”
Given that I already have two pairs of Merrill’s, and old, and a brand new pair, I can purchase two pairs of these for $103.00
“I’ll take both the mid- rise and the low rise boots Liz!”😍
If they are more comfortable, but only last half as long, I am still way ahead!🤗
“ I guess I will put my new Merrill boots back in storage for sometime down the road Liz! Let’s see how many miles I can put on these boots!”💪
I’m ready for a hike!
