Budapest trip: Outside look of apartment vs inside look

We have arrived in Budapest! The trip with Mia went smoothly - no crowds at the border, easy driving, a perfect start to a mini-adventure. We entered the city full of excitement, impatient to settle down and rest. But nothing could prepare us for the contrast that awaited us. When we arrived in front of the apartment, we looked at each other and both thought the same thing - "Hmm... are we at the right address?" The facade of the building looks tired, the yard a bit neglected, everything exudes the spirit of the past. Classic Budapest "retro charm", which is more "retro" than "charm".

But then - we go inside. A complete turnaround! The apartment looks like something from an urban lifestyle magazine: bright, warm, modern, with a lot of attention to detail. From a shelf with books and cute lamps, to an unusual wooden partition that divides the space. The bed is comfortable, the space is perfectly used, and everything exudes a homely atmosphere. We felt as if we had entered a completely different world. This situation immediately reminded us of that old saying - don't judge a book by its cover. From the very first day, Budapest shows how much it can surprise, even when you least expect it. Now we smile every time we pass through the yard, because we know that a real little paradise awaits us behind those doors.
