중국 인구 14억명 중 월소득 17만원 이하가 6억명 월소득 3천만원 이상이 1억 5천만명이라고 한다. 소득격차가 200배 정도다. 빈부격차가 어마어마하다.

중국은 일부다처제를 하는 경우가 공공연하게 있고 대로변에서 여자를 때리는 경우도 많이 있다고 한다. 첩이 많은 사람은 170명까지 된다고.
