My Actifit Report Card and Update: October 12 2020

in Actifit2 months ago (edited)

Hi Everyone,

I'm back with my almost weekly Actifit Report and Update. It feels like I've been very busy this week. I put out two other posts since my previous report, which is about my average for my week. I also spent about a day updating old posts, which had some images missing. I managed to get out and about as well. The weather has been reasonable with a bit of rain here and there. The days are getting noticeable shorter. It is dark for sometime after I get up.

I visited the lake yesterday with Mango the dog. We saw the swans again. Sadly, the family we see the most are down to just one cygnet. They seem to lose one every few weeks. They started off with 7 or 8 back in spring. The family of swans I see less often, still have all 6 cygnets from when I first saw them back in May. Not sure why one family is doing better than the other.

My Content

As mentioned above, I spent about a day updating posts with missing images. I also wrote about why they were missing. It appears that posts published using Busy are missing images. These images do not appear when I view these posts using Hive user interfaces. These images can still be viewed using SteemPeak. I think the Hive user interfaces do not recognise them. The Busy Dapp is no longer available on Steem and has not migrated to Hive. The easiest fix for me was to upload the images again. The images were easy to find as the file name is displayed on the blockchain and I keep all my images in folders in my external hard drive.

In my other post, I wrote about the blockchain. This time I wrote about what I'm calling Blockchain Government. It is a form of Government that utilises the blockchain to make decisions. The post was the first of a two part series. In Part 1, I discuss existing political systems and how they need to be changed so that the blockchain can be given an essential role. I worked around three ideas. These are abolishing parties, changing the voting system, and changing how campaigning is funded and how candidates can be given equal opportunity to exposure to their audience. I also recommend that elected Government becomes more focused on administration and implementation than overall leadership. In Part 2, I discuss how the blockchain can become a primary tool for decision-making.

Upcoming Content

In a couple of days, I will post contest 12 of the Buying and Selling Game. This time we are buying and selling candy in outer space. For this contest, the prize money has increased to 30 Hive. I will also try to post Part 2 of the Blockchain Government series before my next Actifit Report.

That brings this Actifit Report and Update to an end. I hope that you take a look at my recent posts. I think both are important for very different reasons. With that, I wish everyone an awesome week ahead. I hope you are able to stay active as the weather cools and possibly lockdowns loom.
