My Actifit Report Card: June 28 2025
ENGLISH CONTENT
Hello to everyone in this community! Today I was supposed to go grocery shopping, so when I realized it would be a busy day if I stayed in the apartment, I changed my clothes as soon as I had breakfast and headed out. I had no idea where to go. After all, I was just going to buy what I needed; I'd end up back in about an hour. But I was sure I wanted to be gone for a while. So when I took the subway, I started reviewing my notebook. In it, I usually write down events I find through social media, as well as the addresses of certain places, since I'm kind of bad at navigating. Finally, I decided to go back to the Museum of Printmaking and Design, which I went to about two weeks ago. There was an exhibit in one of the galleries I forgot to visit and I had to take advantage of it before they removed it.
It was a good decision, because not only did I find the exhibition I was looking for, but I also came across two new exhibitions I hadn't heard about. Despite the fact that there were a couple of student groups, I was able to explore all the rooms at leisure. I like to stay for a long time and look at the works, noting how they're made, what they're made of, their names, the year they were created... I take note of all this after photographing each work. I think it's quite therapeutic, as it allows you to pause and recover the habit of silent contemplation, which has been lost due to the constant use of technology. My trips to galleries and museums have led me to realize this. Most visitors don't spend more than a couple of seconds looking at the works. They don't even stop to read the titles or spend enough time understanding what they're looking at, especially if they're accompanied, because I admit that when I'm like someone else, I can't enjoy the experience as much as I would on my own.
I really enjoyed that visit to the museum, and once I finished visiting the exhibits I hadn't seen, I proceeded to go somewhere else in the city to buy something that was on my list. After that, I did return because I had to get the groceries, which was the main reason I went out. After getting all my purchases, I was able to return to the apartment, where things had calmed down. My spirits are much better than they were before I left, and I feel like my peace has been restored to a certain extent. It's incredible what the city has to offer, and I wish I had much more access to it... So I'm hoping to prepare enough to see if I can get out more often.

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad! El día de hoy tenía pautado ir a comprar algunos víveres, así que cuando noté que sería un día pesado si me quedaba en el apartamento, en cuanto desayuné, me cambié de ropa y salí. No tenía la más remota idea de a donde dirigirme. Después de todo, se iba a comprar lo que necesitaba solamente, acabaría regresando en más o menos 1 hora. Pero estaba segura, quería irme por un buen rato. Así que cuando tomé el subterráneo, comencé a revisar mi libreta de notas. En ella suelo anotar los eventos que me encuentro a través de las redes sociales, así como las direcciones de determinados lugares, ya que soy un poco mala para eso del direccionamiento. Finalmente decidí volver a acercarme al Museo de la Estampa y del Diseño, al cual fui hace mas o menos 2 semanas atrás. Había una exposición en una sala que olvidé visitar y tenía que aprovechar antes de que la retirasen.
Fue una buena decisión, porque no sólo encontré la exposición que estaba buscando, sino también me hallé con dos nuevas exposiciones de las cuales no tenía conocimiento. A pesar de que habían un par de grupos estudiantiles, pude estar en todas las salas tranquilamente. Me gusta permanecer por largo rato observo las obras, fijarme cómo están hechas, de qué están hechas, los nombres que tienen, el año en que fueron realizadas... Me fijo en todo esto luego de fotografiar cada obra. Pienso que es bastante terapéutico, puesto que te permite detenerte y recuperar el hábito de contemplar en silencio, el cual se ha perdido debido al uso continuo de la tecnología. Mis idas a las galerías y museos me han llevado a darme cuenta de ello. La mayoría de los asistentes no duran más de un par de segundos viendo las obras. Ni siquiera se detienen a leer los títulos o dedicarles el tiempo suficiente para que comprendan lo que están viendo, menos si están acompañados, porque admito que cuando estoy como otra persona, tampoco puedo disfrutar la experiencia como en solitario.
Realmente disfruté aquella visita al museo y una vez que terminé de visitar las exposiciones que no había visto, procedí a ir a otro sitio de la ciudad a comprar algo que estaba en mi lista. Después de ello si retorné ya que tenía que buscarlos Los víveres que fue la razón principal por la que salí. Tras obtener todas mis compras, sí pude retornar hasta el apartamento, en donde las cosas se habían calmado. Mis ánimos son mucho mejores que los que tenía antes de salir y siento que mi paz ha sido recuperado en cierta medida. Es increíble lo que la ciudad tiene para ofrecer y me gustaría poder tener muchos más acceso a ello... Así que espero prepararme lo suficiente para ver si puedo salir más a menudo.

Aww, you don’t know how much I loved your comment, seriously 😳 I’m not exercising daily right now, but I try to overcome my sedentary lifestyle with these little outings. It’s often difficult for me to leave the house because I’m so down, but writing these posts has helped me realize how good it does to go out and clear my head, because when I’m outside, it’s like everything else disappears. I’ve learned a lot where I go, not only from what I find, but from the thoughts I have outside the home when I’m more away from technology, so I like to write down what comes to mind to keep in mind for the rest of the week 😌 Thank you so much for visiting my post and for your kind words. I did think that these thoughts I was writing were a little out of place because they had nothing to do with physical activity... but now I can see I was wrong, hehe.
