Riverboat days. My Actifit Report Card: August 3 2025

Sitting here at the end of a long day to write about riverboat days. It's part of a regular long weekend but renamed for a local feel. I'm in Terrace which is on the Skeena River and say one point the riverboat was it's lifeline.

Today was just about the town celebrating and it was busy everywhere.

First we went to see her car show. Lots of old vehicles. Most are American which are cool but not really my preferred cars.

Then it was off to the parade. It was really fun seeing the different cultural groups represented here. Of course there were athletic clubs, politicians, service clubs and businesses that made floats but the ones that caught my eye?

The Kincolith

The Scottish

The Kitselas

The Filipino

The Tamil

And of course the were more but those were some standouts

Other notables?

Horses and dogs

The fire department and the mobile doctors office

And of course for fun

The local racing car club :)

After that it was off to the farmers market. Very crowded and lots of local food and crafts

Which was right beside a concert in the park which was far more crowded than this picture shows

Going through town and enjoying the festivities followed by some weeding at the homestead was a pretty good way to get almost 10k steps.
