My Actifit Report Card: March 8 2020
Sunday greetings to all my Actifit friends. Here's my report to finish up a productive week.
It's really good to see the milder weather starting to make the days so much nicer. Even with the usually bright AZ sunshine it's the warmer days and the associated signs of Mother Nature coming alive that really make my day. Trees are budding out the there are the early blossoms on the redbuds and a few other trees already. Saw several lovely bluebird during my run, I just love to see those brilliant flashes of blue when I'm outside. It seemed that a good number of people feel the same way as I crossed paths with several runners, hikers and bikers out on the trails.
I felt just a bit lethargic for the first couple of miles into my run, but as usual things really improved once I was on the trails. I really felt good for the last 2 or 3 miles on the return roads back home (although it is mostly a gentle descent after the hilly trails).
Have to be happy with how my training is going but I wish I could get my ass out on my gravel bike to add some cycling miles into my training regime and maybe a gym to do some weight work or cardio.
Time to plan for upcoming ultra races. Yesterday I put in my entry for next year's Jackpot Ultra in NV but this time I'll be trying the USATF 100 mile championship race for a change. Hopefully my endurance will be much improved for a good 60+ age group effort.
