My Actifit Report Card: September 3 2021

It was a busy and muddy Friday up on Lynx Creek to end my week and make my Actifit report for the day.

A couple of miles in the morning hauling my gear to my muddy and messy gold spot up on the creek. A bit of rain overnight made everything wet but thankfully there was more water running in the creek for my sluice.

Several hours working in the mess and smashing away at the mineralized vein in the bedrock to see what I could find - a lot of hard, hard work for a few neat bits of gold in the rock.

Lulu had a great time looking around to chase some squirrels and keep watch over a couple of other prospectors nearby and get some attention.
Although I was a muddy mess the wetness helped the many wildflowers along the creek and the butterflies were out as well as a hummingbird that kept on buzzing around my spot - must have been guarding his territory.

A quick dinner and it wad time for my evening walk (a bit later than I wanted) but it felt good to be out in the cooler air and watch the sun setting. A routine road walk but my legs felt pretty good and my pace was ok with the route having a couple of nice climbs along the way.
Maybe back out to the forest tomorrow unless my wife needs to do shopping but we'll be off early Tuesday morning for our trip so have to get all our gear ready.
