This laser, named 'ZEUS', delivers 2 petawatts of power for a moment (a trillionth of a second), which is 100 times more than the total electricity production of the entire Earth!
Using this incredibly powerful laser, scientists are trying to recreate cosmic extreme events like black holes or gamma ray bursts in the lab, which will help us understand the mysteries of the universe.
However, its work is not only about unraveling the mysteries of space. In the future, it could also help in groundbreaking innovations such as cancer therapy, advanced imaging systems and the creation of small particle accelerators. This Zeus laser has opened a new horizon of science!
