My Actifit Report Card: August 18 2020

Noticing that the sun is rising later these days... in a couple of weeks fall will be here.
The sun was just about to rise when we headed out.

Working an earlier shift today and tomorrow, so didn’t have time for a long walk, but figured I really needed it today.

Walked over to the fields by the middle school, and noticed this sign by the road.

There isn’t much that irritates me, and even though I consider myself a semi “feminist” I’m not all about “I can do anything a man can do”. I’m old enough to realize there are differences, there are things a man can do that I simply can’t...even though I consider myself relatively strong, there are limitations to how much I can lift and carry... and things like that. But when I saw this sign... and two men leaning on shovels, one sitting in an excavator, and a fourth guy fiddling with some papers or something it just irritated the living daylights out of me. Not only were they not working, but could a woman not do what they were (not) doing? Oh well, I finally let that go and went on with my walk. Didn’t have time for more than about 4 kilometers before I had to start getting ready for work.

I’ve never seen one before... but I think this is a cicada.. however dead.. it’s sung it’s last song.

After work it was on to making dinner, then relax and watch some tv.
