The Magic Of Compounding Your Health [May.02.2020]đ °ď¸đ
Hi you all!
Yesterdayâs post included a list of the activities I am currently doing to compound the health of my mind.
I like to think about compounding in terms of reading a book. If you were to read even a couple pages every day that would turn into 730 pages that you wouldnât have read by the end of the year.
The compounded effect of NOT reading those same pages could REALLY negatively effect the outcome of your life donât you think? Think about that!
Now... imagine the compounding yearly accumulation of knowledge you could gather by reading those pages every day!
Thatâs where the magic is... and the outcome can ultimately be astounding!
Now hereâs the thing I have realized...
Itâs what you do EVERY DAY that creates the compounding effect. When you skip a health compounding activity even for a day you loose your focus and the momentum you had dwindles.
We have all felt this before right? The feeling of excitement when you start something new... and then the dull realization, later on, that wakes you up to the fact that somethings changed about your original enthusiasm and subsequent movement forward.
So what happened?!
Likely the action that originally was propelling you towards your goals went by the wayside... it started with a day here and a day there and before you know it you loose a week.. which in turn turns into a month! 1/12th of a year and then an actual year goes by like a breeze.
Thatâs how things compound negatively and slip away... we all know what thatâs like! ITâS TRULY A TERRIBLE FEELING!
And thatâs why what you do daily produces compounding results... in all departments of your life.
For me it helps to remind myself that itâs what I do every day that makes me who I want to become. âBe Nowâ is about living to your complete fulfillment rather than a deferral mindset.
So scheduling in healthy activity for each aspect of your health is what makes the things real. Self actualization is a daily process. It must happen every day. Itâs a practice...
So now that you know the secret of how to compound your mind... your mental health... any healthy activitiesâ results can be compounded for that matter.
So do you have any insights about this concept?
I would love to hear from you guys and girls about this topic!
I look forward to your thoughts and feedback!

Great job with the stepping Wil, and excellent write up about the health of the mind. I totally agree about the cumulative effects of exercising the brain, I think the same is true about the body. Those brain muscles and six packs eventually show up with regular work:} I used to do crosswords but I got lazy, I think I will go back to that. But I do read widely on a variety of topics.
I hadn't noticed you were back to stepping until yesterday, if you resteem your post it will appear on your blog and thus the timeline of your followers.
Wishing you an amazing Sunday ahead, do enjoy your day :}
That's actually a good one that I didn't think of... Doing mind puzzles would be good for keeping the mind working at it's best. I guess my mind puzzles is programming. I always feel pretty sharp when I'm working on those sorts of things.
Thanks for the info about re-blogging. I was wondering why my @Actifit reports weren't showing up in the feed!

I've started learning Spanish. Mp3 files. 5 days a week, few hours a day I listen and repeat Spanish words and sentences while doing the things that I'd normally do. Except listening to music. :)
Funny thing is, I can't wait until it's Monday so that I can learn more and try to talk Spanish with myself. :D My goal is to learn Russian too, from scratch and refresh my French, German and Swedish. I always felt that I love learning languages but didn't feel that I'm any good in it because I always hated studying. Repeating. And the way how most things were taught at school. I knew that some things can only be learned well with repetition but still hated it.
Now I'm listening the same words, repeating the same sentences several hours a day and I love it! And the thing that I do it 5 days a week and do not skip, makes me feel that the day isn't completely wasted, like it sometimes does, especially if I have to answer several e-mails and it takes a long time for me to do that. And even though I know I've done lots during that day, but it still feels that I didn't, because it was only e-mails. But now that I learn at least one new word or sentence, I feel that I actually did do something worthy. :D Crazy, huh!
I thought about the one page a day thing too, but thought that this would be equivalent to that.
That's exceptional! I didn't think of learning a language but your right! That's an excellent way to take care of your mind (and we all know how important that is these days don't we!) You really do have some language aspirations! I guess that means your learning words every day right?
I have tried to learn Chinese... But that's SUPER difficult! I have been to China 6 times and every time I was there my ability to speak and remember the languages improved by leaps and bounds... But now that I'm back here on Canadian soil... I am finding it sooooooo hard to remember the words. I can articulate fine... But remember?! Forget it! hahaha! :...(
Oh, Chinese! That's an important language too. :)
HA! No. Not that much. Learning properly or faster would take concentration and as I am doing something else too at the same time, it's so easy to not listen at all. But occasionally I do surprise myself and remember some sentences or words. But me learning slowly doesn't stop me from being really ambitious about it. I've downloaded few poems read in Spanish from https://librivox.org. I found one of my favorite poets there too, Edgar Allan Poe and although I can't understand but few words of El cuervo (The Raven), I really enjoy listening all the poems I found. I love how Spanish language sounds. :)
So in my case this is true too:
