🅰️ THE STRUGGLE IS REAL: SIT VS. STEP [May.06.2021]

Ok! So I was UP an hour early this morning. Headed out on another walk/jog. The rest of my day is going to be graphics work and video editing... so my step and rep counts are doomed!

But honestly... that’s where I’m at! It’s my daily struggle... and I want to be honest about it how modern life and my approach to it is impacting my health!

Everything’s a sacrifice... It’s all about the, “Heck Yeah!” and the “Heck Nah!”

But yeah! I think it’s time to get real about it all! I have decided to be vulnerable this week!

I honestly want to stay active with my reps and steps this week despite the fact that I know it will be the usual gong show... only worse this week!

So how about you all! How’s it going? Let’s talk honestly about the obstacles we are all experiencing!

It’s time to get REAL ya all! What’s the 1, 2, or 3 things that consistently seem to block your way when it comes to reaching your fitness and health objectives?

Let’s identify them! 😐

...so we can #WIN and kick some butt this week! 😆

Oh well, am glad you got to do some stepping. It's better than nothing. For me the biggest obstacle has always been time. I rely on my alarm just to keep track and remain disciplined with my stepping. Am glad the weather is favorable at your place so you can do more outdoor stepping. Thank you for sharing and keep going :}

I have had such a hard time exercising regularly over the past year. I walk at least a couple miles a day with my dog and occasionally go for a hike, but other than that has just been a lazy puddle.

I know it sounds odd, but I really don’t like running outside and much prefer a treadmill in a climate controlled environment. On a treadmill I can just get into some music and trance out, whereas outside I have to stay alert for obstacles. Also I really like the speed control and biofeedback treadmills and other equipment provide.

I’ve tried to get a kettle bell routine going at home, but my apartment is too conducive to an idle, low energy feeling.

I got my second shot on Monday and am so relieved to get back to a gym routine. It is going to be very difficult to get back into it, but keeping my fitness goals in mind is enough incentive to push through and make the change.

Thanks for making this post and inviting us to talk about the challenges of staying in shape 🙂
