My Actifit Report Card: June 14 2020
Guten Abend Steemians, HivePeople und Actifitter,
am letzten Vatertag sind wir ein Teil des Nierswanderweges entlang gelaufen. Damals sind uns auf der Niers einige Boote aufgefallen und daher hatten wir damals beschlossen auch einmal eine Paddeltour auf der Niers zu machen.
Heute war es dann soweit. Wir sind Vormittags zum Startpunkt beim Restaurant "Jan an de Fähr" in der Nähe von Goch mit dem Auto gefahren, wo wir ein 3er Kanu reserviert hatten.
Trotz Unwetterwarnungen vielerorts sollte es bei uns schönes Wetter geben. Und so sind wir dann gegen 12 Uhr auf eine 13 km lange Paddeltour gestartet. Geplant war eine Pause an einer Anlegestelle im Gocher Stadtpark nach ca. 1 Stunde Kanufahrt. Den Anleger hatten wir allerdings verpasst, da sich das Steuern als schwierig erweist, wenn nicht alle richtig mitrudern.
Die Pause haben wir dann etwas später im Kanu auf dem Fluss gemacht. Nach der Pause war noch eine rund 90-minütige Weiterfahrt bis zum Ziel vor uns. Allerdings war jetzt plötzlich Donnergrollen in der Ferne zu hören, was wir nicht so schön fanden.
Also haben wir den Rest der Tour ordentlich gerudert und sind dann mit Einsetzen des ersten Regens noch gerade rechtzeitig am Ziel angelangt. Für die Rückreise hatten wir einen Freund angerufen, der uns wieder zum Startpunkt und unser Auto gebracht hat.
Für das Kanu haben wir eine Miete von € 32,- bezahlt. Für einen Familienausflug ist der Preis in Ordnung, allerdings haben wir am Startpunkt eine bekannte Familie getroffen, die eine Tour mit einem aufblasbarem Kanu (€ 40,- Aldi-Sued) unternommen hat. Lohmt sich also schon ab der zweiten Fahrt.

on the last father's day we walked part of the Nierswanderweg. At that time we noticed some boats on the Niers and therefore we decided to go paddling on the Niers.
And then today the time has come. In the morning we drove to the starting point at the restaurant "Jan an de Fähr" near Goch, where we had reserved a 3-person canoe.
Despite weather warnings in many places, we should have nice weather. And so we started on a 13 km paddle tour around 12 noon. A break was planned at a landing stage in the city park in Goch after about 1 hour of canoeing. We missed the point......
We took the break a little later in the canoe on the river. After the break there was still a 90-minute drive to the finish in front of us. However, suddenly there was a rumble of thunder in the distance, which we did not find so nice.
So we rowed the rest of the tour properly and then reached the destination just in time with the onset of the first rain. For the return trip we had called a friend who brought us back to the starting point and our car.
We paid a rent of € 32 for the canoe. The price is okay for a family trip, but at the starting point we met a well-known family who went on a tour with an inflatable canoe (€ 40, - Aldi-Sued). So it pays off from the second ride.
