Hallo Steemians, HivePeople und Actifitter,

am heutigen Dienstag habe ich meine wöchentliche Runde durch den Ort gemacht. Da Sport mit zwei Personen im Freien noch gestattet ist, haben wir auch nicht gegen irgendwelche Verordnungen verstoßen.

Da im Moment wieder stark über einen harten Lockdown diskutiert wird, wird meine Laune zusehends schlechter. Es wird langsam Zeit, das irgendjemand den Resetknopf drückt.

Andererseits denke ich, wenn wir das in unserer Zeit jetzt durchmachen müssen, ist es doch immer nur ein kleiner Einschnitt in unserem Leben im Vergleich zu dem, was unsere Groß- oder Urgroßeltern im zweiten Weltkrieg mitgemacht haben.

this tuesday I made my weekly round through the place. Since sports with two people outside are still allowed, we did not violate any regulations.

Since there is a lot of discussion about a hard lockdown at the moment, my mood is getting worse. It's about time that somebody presses the reset button.

On the other hand, I think that if we have to go through this in our time now, it is always only a small break in our lives compared to what our grandparents or great-grandparents went through in World War II.

We have all had to make sacrifices for sure, since covid. I too can only imagine WWII or even the Great Depression-the sacrifices everyone made for that. We may have to live with this virus; I worry about the potential long term side effects from the vaccines that they have come up with too quickly. Time will tell the story.

Some stories about the WWII were told to me by my grandma and grandpa.
My grandma died this year at the age of 94 and had just experienced WW2.

My father passed back in 2002; the week before he died, he had told me that the service men were hungry and that the locals made a beer heavy with hops. They lived off of the beer for some time. Ironically, my dad never drank, short of a glass of dinner sherry now and again. He had never had spoken of the war until that time. I wish I had asked more. Take care @ynwa.andree!
