Wednesday Walkin’ in the Woods!
I have been away in the bunch with the family camping over the last few days. There was no internet out there so I have been a little silent but let me begging to catch you up with images from 8600 steps of hiking and beach.
The majority of these steps were taken in a hike visiting all 4 beaches at Awenda Provincial Park in Canada! I will fill you in on more details with a more complete story and will just let the pics tell the story in this one.
The beaches are probable the most popular feature of this provincial park. The water is clear as you could imagine and you can sit, looking north, and imagine the glacier depositing all it had collected while exposing the Canadian Shield.
Some of them were thoughtfully deposited off shore a couple hundred feet and are fun to play on.
The camping is great too. There are well over 400 campsites but they are spread out well so that your neighbours are not so close.
One thing I particularly enjoy is the hardwood forest when so many other parts are predominantly softwood coniferous trees. The old dog seems to enjoy it as well.
Of course camping is great for beer! In this case, it is great to revisit an old friend from a brewery in the general region. I will have to showcase some camping beers this upcoming #BeerSaturday.
At some point during the day, there is no better way to live in the moment and celebrate a little #treetuesday than sitting in your camp chair and looking straight up.
I will get you more details on the adventure in coming posts. Til then, thanks for taking a walk with me among the trees.
