dCity Report #3
Well this definitely came as a surprise! I wasn't expecting much, but hey! I got some really cool changes once again! But first, a glance at my current city.
ase on the last time I had a report, I had a student in debt and after I cleared it, it turned out to be a soldier. Was clueless and for some reason, my daily amount of SIMS earned increased from 5 to 10, that is a 100% increase! Really happy about it! I am hoping to boost popularity and so on so I can get new residents, or to earn more so I can purchase more students and hopefully get this town going. So every single SIM earned is a great thing!
And so, what is the buzz today? This!
Once again, I have a student that is in debt. Means, after clearing it, I might be getting a surprise! Somehow, I realised the cost of debt increased from 30 SIM to 40 SIM, anyone knows why?
Looks like this time round, I got myself an Eco Activist! Hooray! But then... what does an Eco Activist do other than sounding cool? Haha.I know there is 2 Tax Refund and a -2 in popularity. Wonder why is an Eco Activist not popular! Haha. But yea, any other perks for this guy?
Interesting. My game is just collecting hive dust atm. I'm not earning a lot of sim but it's better then the nothing I earned before my lawyer got me a tax break. 🤣🤣

I want more creatives and scientists.
I wanted to make my city a pre industrial civilization but it seems the games creators wanted to make things too close to reality with pandemics, wars and taxes. 😔
Hahahaha! That’s quite funny! Honestly don’t mind me, I’m struggling a tat bit. How on earth do I get more people to come to my citizen? I think my popularity is still relatively fine, but the chances are only at 2%. Any idea how I can bump this up? Haha
As I am only holding cards and not really playing right now I haven't got a clue. 😁
HAHAHAHA. You’re pretty amusing! How did you even manage to amass those cards in the first place? And out of curiosity, by chance you playing any other games like SPL or RS?
I bought most of them and some I traded.
I also hold sp and rs cards but don't do a lot with either outside of just holding cards at the moment. I'm renting a handful of my sp just to earn some dec.
I also have some dcrops cards as well. I am currently growing three crops which will soon be harvested.
I get bored from time to time with monotonous activity so take breaks to find inspiration. 😁

I doubt you could earn anything passive from RS without playing though.
Hey, the SPL rentals are volatile lately, won’t it affect your rental earnings? Also, why not consider some scholar programme instead?
Go ahead and check out my deck. As far as earnings it fluctuates but this is where I stand atm.
Rising star does not earn passively but I hope that is something that is incorporated into the game eventually. Even if they start doing rentals that would be good enough for me.
Tell me about the scholar programs. How many are there and what are the benefits?
Woah! Your city is sick man! Tons of cards! Dude.... I really cannot imagine how long it will take before I can even reach a quarter of what you have now! You city is awesome man!
Anyway, I am unsure about the scholar programme too. I heard a lot about it from the Axie Infinity game, and seems like recently I do see someone raising this topic in the Splinterlands Chat. By chance are you in the telegram chat? I can add you in if you wish. You might be able to get more information about the scholarship from there!
I don't have nearly as many cards as some players.
I do have a telegram but I use discord because that seems to be what most on hive use to communicate with.
I can also video chat with family using discord. Telegram doesn't have that ability. At least it didn't last I used it.
Hahahaha! The last I used it. How long ago was that. It was a telegram chat for the official Splinterlands group. I’m not sure if they are the same folks behind the discord
I have noticed that they put people in mod positions. I am also on blockstack(I have not used it since about three months after signing up) which has rebranded to hiro(sp?) They are on both telegram and discord.
As far as hivers on telegram, I'm not aware of any.
Yea, seems like the Splinterlands one is the only one that I see on telegram! Wow, moderators! But what would you have to do? I guess it really pays to be in the early pioneers man
I'm sure their are requirements to be mods. If your interested in being a mod you would have to communicate with a mod or the chat admin/owner.
Hahaha. Honestly, I’m really just figuring things out. I joined hive and Splinterlands actually was with the hopes of earning more. I kind of lost my scholarship, and am struggling to pay my tuition fees. Was hoping to find avenues to earn a couple of extra bucks.
So as for moderator, I’m concerned I’ll do a bad job seeing that my motivation is really just to rise by my finances! Haha
Well, make a good post everyday and get in with a good community. I got in with the terminal and from there have joined several others. It really helps to know some people and of course interacting is humongous.
Yups! I’ve been trying to! Haha. Nevertheless, somehow I’m quite horrible with writing. I’m trying though! Base on the number of upvotes, I’m trying to figure out which community is better for me to focus my attention on!
Focus on things you enjoy doing to write about and you will eventually find your people, even if it takes more then one community. 😁😁😉
