Chelsea Officially Extend Giroud and Cabalerro Contracts.

English giants Chelsea have officially extended their two-player contracts, Oliver Giroud and Willy Caballero, will return to strengthen the Blues for one year.

The Corona Virus pandemic has put Chelsea in a financial crisis for the club, preferring to retain players or extend existing player contracts without buying new players in the transfer market this season. The contract extension between the two players is indeed very surprising, this is because the two players are not young anymore.

Giroud, who had performed brilliantly with Arsenal, was already 33 years old, while Caballero, who had been successful with Manchester City, was 38 years old. Both players are also rarely featured by coach Frank Lampard this season.

Covid-19 pandemic makes Chelsea must maintain the assets of existing players, they are currently experiencing financial difficulties to bring in new players, some players will also not be sold to maintain club stability.

At the moment the London-based club has started a training center at the Blues headquarters, some players seem ready to run back the delayed Premier League, the plan is for the Premier League to take place on June 1 2020.
